Sutra of the One-Syllable Wheel-Turning Ruler Spoken at the Seat of Enlightenment

解釋: 菩提場所説一字頂輪王經 [py] Pútíchăng suŏshuō Yīzì dĭng lúnwáng jīng [wg] P'u-t'i-ch'ang so-shuo i-tzu-ting lun-wang ching [ko] 보리장소설일자정윤왕경 Porijang sosŏl iljajŏng yunwang kyŏng [ja] ボダイジョウショセツイチジチョウリンオウキョウ Bodaijō shosetsu ichiji chō rinnō kyō ||| The Putichang suoshuo Yizi ding lunwang jing (Sutra of the One-Syllable Wheel-Turning Ruler Spoken at the Seat of Enlightenment). Probably dating to the 7th century CE, it describes several rituals for worldly benefit. One of these, a procedure for sketching 晝法 the nidāna scene, refers to the Bodhimaṇḍālamkārasūtra 菩提場莊嚴陀羅尼經 (T 1008). Its method for invoking the five buddhoṣṇīṣas 五佛頂法 is practiced to the present day in Tendai esotericism 台密. Three Chinese translations are extant:

(3) 4 fasc. (T 952.19.263-285) Sutra of the Samādhi of the Five Buddha-Coronas 五佛頂三昧陀羅尼經, tr. Bodhiruci II
